Howdy, I’m Rose! Born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky (Go Cats!), I've always felt destined to create. Over the years, I’ve discovered that my passion for musical theatre and my work in philanthropy aren’t just pursuits—they’re two halves of the same whole. Musical theatre has given me skills I use every day: connecting with people, telling meaningful stories, and finding creative ways to reach an audience. Those same skills make me a better advocate in my development work. I couldn’t imagine doing one without the other. When I’m not performing or working with Birmingham-area nonprofits, you’ll likely find me journaling at my favorite local coffee shops, dreaming up new ways to blend my passions.
My passion for philanthropy and story telling was sparked by my brother Gray, one of my greatest blessings and sources of inspiration. Diagnosed with level 4 profound autism at age 3, Gray is completely non-verbal, yet his presence speaks volumes in my life. For as long as I can remember, I’ve felt a strong calling to be his advocate, as he cannot speak for himself. Over the years, I’ve volunteered in his special education classes and shadowed his speech therapy sessions, learning the language of patience, empathy, and unwavering support. My mission is clear: to stand up for him, and for others like him, whose voices deserve to be heard and understood.

Musical theatre has been at the heart of my journey, shaping the way I connect and create. Through storytelling and performance, I’ve discovered the power of vulnerability and authenticity in building meaningful connections with audiences. Every moment on stage is an opportunity to communicate universal truths and share joy. The lessons I’ve learned as a performer—resilience, collaboration, and empathy—extend far beyond the stage, influencing every part of my life. For me, musical theatre isn’t just an art form; it’s a way to celebrate humanity, build community, and bring stories to life in the most impactful way.
